Our place is located out at the HSIDC Industrial Estate, specifically on Plot No. 1297-1300. If you are driving toward the Ethnic India Resort, you’ll find us right near there. It’s a big area with lots of other sheds and factories around, so there is always the sound of machinery and trucks moving about in the background. Inside our building, it’s mostly just rows of bins and machines for the buttons. We spend a lot of time sorting through different sizes and colors. It can get pretty dusty with all the materials we handle, but that is just part of the job at Ketan Buttons Pvt. Ltd. The floors are concrete and we have a small corner for the office staff to sit and handle the orders. It’s not the kind of place with carpet or nice paintings on the wall. We mostly focus on keeping the machines running and getting the bags packed up for the customers. Lunchtime is usually when things quiet down for a bit and we sit outside near the loading dock. Being in the industrial estate means we are a bit far from the main city center, but it’s easier for the big lorries to get to us here. We’ve been at these plots for some time now and everyone knows the routine. It’s a lot of physical work, especially when a big shipment of raw material arrives.
