Hangzhou Thorton International Trade Co. Ltd.

We are up on the 16th floor of Building 1 in the Bodi Century Center. It’s a big building in the Ningwei area of Xiaoshan. From Room 1602, we can see quite a bit of Hangzhou if the weather is clear. Hangzhou Thorton International Trade is mostly about coordinating things between different places. Our desks are usually covered in shipping documents and samples of various products we handle. It’s a lot of back-and-forth emails and checking on transit times. The elevators in this building can be a bit slow during the morning rush, so we’ve learned to arrive a little early. We have a small kitchen area where we keep our tea and some snacks for the afternoon. It’s not a very quiet office because there is always someone talking to a supplier or a driver. Sometimes the time zones make it tricky, and we stay a bit late to catch someone in a different country. We don't have a big corporate lobby; you just walk through the door and you’re right in the middle of it. We try to keep the samples organized on the shelves, but they tend to pile up after a few weeks. It’s a fast environment, yet we try to keep a relaxed mood among the staff. We’ve got some plants by the window that we occasionally remember to water. It’s just a normal trading office trying to get things from point A to point B without too much trouble. We just keep working.
