Sumit & Company is located at 334 Gur Mandi. It’s right in the thick of things. If you have ever been to the Mandi, you know how it is. There’s constant noise and people everywhere. Our spot at 334 is where we spend most of our daylight hours. It’s not a large space, but it’s enough for what we do. We’ve got shelves piled high and a desk that’s seen better days. Every morning we roll up the front and get to work. The air in Gur Mandi is always filled with the smell of the market and the sound of trade. We deal with people from all over who come here looking for stuff. It’s a practical business. We don't spend money on big ads or shiny furniture. We’d rather just focus on the items we have and the people buying them. Sometimes it gets so busy we barely have time to grab a tea from the stall nearby. Other times it’s slow enough to chat with the other shopkeepers about the weather or how the road needs fixing. We’ve been here long enough that the walls feel familiar. It’s just us doing what we know how to do. No big speeches or complicated plans. Just a shop in the middle of a busy market, keeping things going as best as we can every single day until it is time to go.
