Bhatia Seeds Corporation

Bhatia Seeds Corporation is located in the village of Selakhurd, right on Straight Highway-24. Being out here means we are surrounded by farmland, which makes sense for a seed business. The highway is always busy with people traveling between towns, so we see a lot of different faces stopping in. We spend our days dealing with bags of seeds and talking to farmers about the upcoming season and what the weather is doing. The warehouse is a big open space where we keep everything stacked up and ready for planting time. It can get pretty hot under the tin roof when the sun is out, but we have some big fans to keep the air moving. We don't have a computer system for everything, so there’s still a lot of writing things down in notebooks. The dust from the seeds is something you just get used to after a while. Sometimes the trucks arrive late because of traffic on the highway, and we have to stay a bit longer to get everything unloaded. It is quiet in the evenings once the sun goes down and the traffic thins out. We’ve been a part of Selakhurd for a long time, and many of the people who come here have been buying from us for years. It’s a simple business built on hard work and being out here in the open air. We just take things one day at a time.
