Bankey Bihari Packaging [P] Ltd

Our facility is at the Hsididc Industrial Estate in Rai, specifically units 1502 and 1503. This is a huge industrial area and it can be quite a maze if you aren't used to it. We do packaging work at Bankey Bihari Packaging [P] Ltd on a pretty large scale, so there are always machines running and people moving things around. It’s a noisy environment, but we’ve all gotten used to it over time. During the summer, the heat inside the units gets quite intense because of the metal roofs, so we drink a lot of water and try to keep moving. It’s not a glamorous job, just a lot of physical work and keeping an eye on the production lines. We have a lot of trucks coming in from the main road to pick up orders. Sometimes there are delays at the gate, which can throw off our whole schedule for the day. We don't have a lot of time for sitting around. The floor is usually covered in scraps of material, but we try to clean it up at the end of every shift. We’ve been part of this estate for a long time and have seen many other businesses come and go. We just keep our heads down and focus on getting the packaging right. It’s a busy life but it keeps us going. We usually have a quick tea break in the afternoon before the final push.
