A & S Labels Pvt. Ltd. is located over at Plot No. 14, in the HSIIDC area of the Rai Industrial Estate. It’s a busy part of the estate with a lot of different factories around us. We spend our days around printing presses and rolls of paper. There is always a smell of ink and glue in the air, which you get used to after the first week. The floor is usually covered in little bits of label backing that we have to sweep up at the end of every shift. It’s a constant battle to keep the place tidy. We have been at Plot 14 for several years now. The machines make a lot of noise, so we have to shout a bit to hear each other. We aren't a big corporate office with fancy chairs. We have a few plastic stools and a metal desk where the paperwork gets done. Rai is a good location for us, even if the power acts up sometimes during the summer. We just wait for the generator to kick in and keep going. Most of us have been working together for a long time, so we know how to handle the rush orders without much fuss. It’s just about getting the labels printed and cut right. We don't do anything fancy, just the work that needs doing. Plot 14 is where you’ll find us. We just keep the presses running and hope for the best.
