Bhaktiyog Foundation

You can find us at house number 145 in Ward No-8. Our office is in the School Pada area of Komna, which is in the Nuaparha district. It’s called School Pada because the local school is right nearby, so there is always a lot of activity around here. Our building is a simple one-story structure with a small yard in the front. We have a few rooms where we do all the work for the Bhaktiyog Foundation. It’s not a fancy place by any means. We have some old desks, a few metal cupboards for our files, and a lot of plastic chairs for when we have visitors. The walls are painted a light yellow and have some local posters on them. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who take care of the daily operations. We spend a lot of time talking to the people who live in the ward and the surrounding villages. It’s a very practical way of working. We don't use much technology besides a basic mobile phone for calls. Most of our planning is done on paper over a cup of tea. The area can get quite dusty when the wind picks up, so we are always cleaning the desks. We are just regular people who wanted to set up something helpful in our own neighborhood. We don’t have any big goals for expansion; we just want to do a good job right here where we live. It’s a quiet but busy life in School Pada.
