Our unit is M-13, and it’s located in the Industrial Area. Like most places around here, Rasayan Vidhya is more about the work than the looks. The building is a simple concrete structure with big metal doors that we roll up in the morning to let the air in. It gets quite hot inside, especially when we are running the equipment. There is always a layer of fine powder on the windowsills, no matter how many times we wipe them down. The Industrial Area is full of sounds—metal clanging, engines idling, and the occasional siren. We have a few long benches where most of the work happens. We deal with various chemicals, so there is a lot of pouring and measuring going on throughout the day. We wear our boots and aprons, and we don't talk much while we're working because of the noise. The lunch break is usually spent sitting on some crates outside the door, just to get some sun and away from the smell of the shop floor. We keep a ledger by the door to track who comes in and out. It’s a straightforward operation. We don’t have a fancy lobby or any of that. Just the M-13 unit where we do what we need to do and then lock up for the night. It is a lot of hard work but it is what we know.
