We are based in Pathankot, which is in the Gurdaspur District. As part of Nbcc(Govt. Of India Enterprise ), we have this office to look after things in this region. It is quite different from working in a big metro area. The atmosphere here is a bit more relaxed, though we still have plenty to do. Our office is a practical, straightforward building. We do not have any high-end furniture or flashy technology. We just have the essentials—desks, chairs, and computers—to get our work done. The team here is small, and we all know each other pretty well, which makes the day go by easier. Pathankot is an important place for this district, so we stay busy with various tasks that come our way. The work mainly involves a lot of checking on projects and making sure all the paperwork is in order. We do not have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy descriptions. We just talk like regular people and focus on the job. During the winter, it can get quite chilly, so we keep the heater going and drink a lot of tea to stay warm. It is a simple, honest way to work. We are not trying to be anything corporate or polished. We are just here to do our part for the enterprise and make sure everything runs as it should in our little corner of Gurdaspur.
