Working in Renukoot is a unique experience, especially being based right in the Hindalco Colony. Our place for Vijai Electricals Ltd. is Quarter Number Jr-400. It is a quiet area mostly because it is a residential spot meant for the workers and their families. Sonebhadra is quite far out from the big cities, so we have all gotten used to the slower pace of life here. The office is really just a part of the daily routine in the colony. You see the same faces every single morning when the shifts change at the plant. Being out here in this part of Uttar Pradesh means we have to be pretty self-reliant. If something breaks or we run out of specific supplies, it takes a bit of time to get things brought in from the larger hubs. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or checking through inventory lists. The weather gets incredibly hot in the summer months, so we usually try to get the heavy lifting done early before the sun is right overhead. It is a practical setup we have here. No one is wearing suits or trying to look important. We just wear what is comfortable for the dust and the heat. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside on the steps for a bit until it comes back on. It is not like a big city corporate office with glass walls. It is a brick-and-mortar spot where we handle the local electrical side of things.
