Jalan Saree Sale

Jalan Saree Sale is located right in Robertsganj. If you’ve spent any time in Robertsganj, you probably know the area well enough. We don't have a fancy street name or a complex number, just our spot here in town. We spend a lot of our day unfolding and folding things back up. It’s a lot of repetitive movement, but it keeps us busy. The shop is filled with different colors and textures, and sometimes it feels like the walls are closing in because there’s so much stuff everywhere. We have a few old fans that hum away while we work, trying to keep the air moving. Jalan Saree Sale is a local place, and we see a lot of the same faces coming by. We don’t really do anything special to get people to come in; they just know we’re here. Sometimes we sit out front when things are slow, just watching the traffic and the people go by in Robertsganj. It’s a plain shop with simple shelves and a few counters that have been worn smooth over the years. We’ve been doing this for a long time, so it’s just second nature to us now. We don't use any big words to talk about what we do. We just open up the doors in the morning, do the work that needs doing, and close up when it’s time to go home. It’s just how Jalan Saree Sale operates.
