Ferro Scrap Nigam Ltd.(A Govt. Of India Undertaking)

We are located out in Vill-Rampur, which is near Chunar in the Mirzapur district. Most people around here know the area for the hills and the stone work, but Ferro Scrap Nigam Ltd. is more about the industrial side of things. Since we are a Government of India Undertaking, there is a lot of paperwork and routine involved in what we do every day. The office is at the address of Sri Markanday Singh’s place. It’s a quiet spot in Kolna, mostly surrounded by local houses and some farmland. The commute from the main town can be a bit of a trek depending on the road conditions, but we manage just fine. We spend most of our time keeping track of scrap materials and managing the logistics that come with it. It’s not the most exciting work if you’re looking for something fancy, but it is necessary for the local economy. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back. It's a very local operation even though we are part of a bigger national thing. People stop by often just to talk or handle some quick bit of business. We’ve been here for a while and the locals know us. It feels more like a part of the village than a big corporate office. We just keep our heads down and get the scrap sorted.
