Anand Foods

Down here in Village-Cakari, things are much quieter than what you find in the city center. Anand Foods is tucked away in this part of Robertsganj in the Sonbhadra district. It is a peaceful area for the most part, with fields surrounding the property and only a few other houses nearby. We handle various food products, so there is usually a distinct smell of grain or spices being handled in the back. It is a small operation, really. Just a few of us working together to get everything ready for the orders that come in. The roads around here can get pretty messy during the rainy season, which makes it a bit hard for the trucks to get in and out. But we always figure out a way to keep things moving. We don't have a corporate office with fancy furniture. It is mostly just the production area and a small wooden desk where we keep our books. The people in the village know us well and sometimes they stop by just to chat or see what we are doing for the day. We use local supplies whenever it is possible because it feels right to be part of the community. The power cuts out every now and then, so we have to adjust our schedule around the electricity. It is not always an easy life, but it is our work and we just get on with it every day.
