Pwd, Sonepur

Our office is located in Sonepur, which is a quiet town in the Subarnapur district of Orissa. We are right in the Thanapatipara neighborhood. If you are looking for us, we are pretty easy to find once you get into that part of town. The building is an old one, and we share the space with a lot of records from the Pwd. Being in a place like Sonepur means things move a bit slower than in the big cities, but there is always plenty of road work and building maintenance to keep us occupied. Most of the people working here have grown up in this district. We know the roads around here like the back of our hands. The office is a bit dusty sometimes because of the construction traffic nearby. We don't have a big corporate setup or anything like that. It’s just a few desks, some wooden cupboards for the files, and a lot of heavy ledgers. We use the local post office in Sonepur for all our mail, and our pin code is 767017. Most days are spent talking to contractors or checking on the progress of local projects. It’s a lot of practical work and not much else. We don't really have a fancy waiting area for visitors.
