Venkateshvara Gul Udhyog

Venkateshvara Gul Udhyog is located right here in Pangaon, which is part of Renapur Taluka. It’s a quiet place mostly, focused on the work we do with the sugarcane. Making gul is a long process and it keeps everyone on their toes. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s mostly just us at the post office area, getting things ready. The smell of the boiling juice fills the air every morning, which is something you get used to after a few days. Our workers come from the nearby villages and they know the rhythm of the season. Sometimes the equipment acts up and we have to spend the whole afternoon fixing a pump or a belt. That’s just part of running a local business in a place like Pangaon. We don’t really care much for being fancy. We just want to make sure the gul is made right and sent out on time. The sun gets really strong over the fields, so the shade of the shed is where everyone hangs out during lunch. We’ve been in Renapur for a while, and people around here know who we are. It’s a simple life, focused on the harvest and the production. We don’t have a website or anything too modern, just our name on the gate and the work we do every day. It's tough work but it's what we know. There's no use complaining about the heat when there's jaggery to be made.
