Taj Kirana

Taj Kirana is out in Medshingi village, which is part of Sangola. We are right near the Chincholi Road. Being in a village means things move at a bit of a different pace. We open up early because that’s when everyone is out and about before it gets too hot. Our shop is where people come for their daily essentials like cooking oil, sugar, and flour. It’s not a huge place, but we try to keep the things that the local families actually need. You’ll often find a few people standing around outside chatting while they wait for their orders. The road can be quite dusty, and sometimes the power goes out, so we just have to manage. We don’t have fancy barcodes or anything; we just know the prices and keep a ledger for the regular folks who pay at the end of the month. It gets busy when the farmers come back or when there’s a festival coming up. We have to make sure we’ve ordered enough stock from the town, otherwise we run out and everyone gets disappointed. It’s a simple shop with wooden shelves and sacks of grain on the floor. We aren't trying to be a big city store. We just provide what’s necessary for the people living around here in Medshingi. It’s mostly just hard work and making sure we treat everyone who walks in with a bit of respect and gets what they want.
