You will find Swarajya Janani Jijau Urban Nidhilimited in a small place called Sarkoli, which is near Pandharpur in the Solapur district. We are located at G No 43/201, sharing space with Dhondiba S Bhosale. It is a very rural setting, quite far from the noise of the main city. Pandharpur is famous for the pilgrimage, but out here in Sarkoli, it is mostly just quiet farm life. Our office is very basic, just a room with the necessary furniture to keep the records straight. We mostly help the local villagers with their small savings and loans. Since we are in a village, we don't really have a formal atmosphere. People walk in with their problems and their plans, and we see how the Nidhi can help them out. It involves a lot of patience and understanding of how the local economy works. We are not some big financial institution with branches everywhere. We are just this one office in Solapur. Most of our day is spent writing in registers and talking to people we have known for years. It is honest work. We don't use any complicated financial talk. We just explain things in simple words so everyone understands where their money is going. It is a humble setup that serves the people right here in our own backyard.
