Our place is located over at GNo.272/A in Chale, which is part of Pandharpur in Solapur district. Sumangal Multipurpose Nidhi Limited has been part of this landscape for a bit. It’s a straightforward setup. We don't have a lobby with magazines or a receptionist with a headset. Usually, you’ll just find one of us behind the counter ready to talk. Pandharpur is a place with a lot of heart, and we try to reflect that in how we run things. People stop by on their way to the market or after work. We deal with various things since we are a multipurpose nidhi, so the day never looks the same. One person might be asking about a small loan, another just wants to put some money away for a rainy day. We keep the registers clean and the math correct. That's the main thing. We don’t use any of those slick brochures. If someone has a question, we just tell them how it is. The building isn’t new, but it’s sturdy and keeps the rain out. We like being in Chale because it’s where we belong. It’s a quiet life mostly, except when it’s time for the local fairs. We just keep our heads down and manage the funds for our members. It’s a lot of responsibility, but we’ve got a good rhythm going now after all this time. The walk from the main road isn't too bad, and we always have the door unlatched during business hours for anyone who needs to step in and talk.
