Solar Electronics is located in Jijamata Bunglow over at Sat Rasta. It’s a bit of a landmark for us, working out of a bungalow rather than a standard office block. The area is quite busy, being a junction with seven roads meeting, but our spot feels a bit more grounded. We handle all sorts of electronic work here. The rooms in the bungalow have been converted into workspaces, so it has a different feel than a modern shop. There are parts stored in old cupboards and tools on sturdy wooden tables. We’ve been in this neighborhood for a long time. People around Sat Rasta know us as the place to go when something electronic stops working. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy. Usually, someone just points the way. It’s a hands-on kind of place. We spend our days troubleshooting and soldering. The air is often filled with the smell of warm metal and flux. We don't really follow a strict corporate schedule; we just work until the jobs for the day are finished. Sometimes that means staying late, and sometimes we close early if things are slow. It’s a small, local operation. We like the independence of it. We aren't trying to change the world; we are just trying to fix the things that come across our desks every day. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living. We enjoy being here.
