Accountancy isn't easy for everyone, and that's why we opened Shreshtha Academy here in Solapur 413001. Dealing with numbers and balance sheets all day can be exhausting. I see students come in looking completely confused by their ledgers. We sit down and try to figure it out together. The room we use isn't very big, and when it’s full, it gets quite warm. We have a couple of old fans that hum while we work. I’ve lived in this part of Solapur my whole life, so I know a lot of the families. The students come from different backgrounds, but they all have the same goal of passing their exams. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. I just write the notes on the board and the students copy them down. Sometimes we spend an entire hour just on one single entry because it’s so tricky. It’s frustrating when the totals don't match, but we don't give up. We stay late if we have to. There is a small bakery nearby that smells like fresh bread in the evenings, which makes us all hungry. It’s a plain, honest way to earn a living. We don't promise anything crazy, just that we will sit with you and work through the problems until they make sense. Accounting takes time to learn, and we just provide the space for that to happen.
