We spend most of our time out here in Solapur, specifically around the Bagehalli Road area. It’s a busy spot, and since we run Shree Swami Samarth Jaggery Industry Pvt. Ltd. from Sangmeshwar Niwas, there is always something going on with the trucks or the workers. Making jaggery isn't exactly a clean or easy job, especially when the weather gets really hot like it does around here. We deal with a lot of sugarcane, obviously. Most days start pretty early because we have to get the pans heated up and the juice ready before the sun gets too high. It gets loud and sticky, but that is just how the business works. We have been in this part of Datta Nagar for a while now, so the locals know the smell of the boiling juice by now. It’s hard work, and sometimes the machines act up or the laborers don’t show up on time, but we manage to keep the batches moving. We aren't trying to do anything fancy or complicated. We just focus on getting the jaggery made and packed so it can go out to the markets where people need it. You won't find us sitting in a fancy office much; we’re usually right there where the heat is. It's just a regular local business trying to keep up with the demand and making sure the quality is okay for the families who buy it from the shops later on.
