We are located at number 49 B in Shivaji Society, which is quite close to the new R T O office on Vijapur Road. If you’ve ever been around here, you know it can get a bit dusty with all the traffic heading towards the office nearby. Our place is usually pretty lively. There is almost always some kind of noise coming from the back, whether it’s barking or just the sound of cages being moved around. It’s a lot of cleaning, if I’m being honest. You can’t really have a place like this and keep it perfectly quiet or spotless all the time. We do our best with the mops and the brushes. People from the society drop in often, sometimes just to ask a quick question while they are out for a walk. We don’t have a fancy reception desk or a waiting room with magazines. It’s more of a practical space where we can get the work done. The work is physically demanding, bending over and lifting things all day. Sometimes we get scratches or tired backs, but that’s just part of the deal when you work with animals. We’ve been on Vijapur Road for a while now and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the neighborhood. It’s a straightforward job and we don’t try to make it sound like anything else. We just take care of the tasks in front of us.
