Our business, Rnga Shivam Dresses Private Limited, is situated at 459 Kshatriya Gally in the East Mangalwar Peth area of Solapur. People know Solapur for its textiles, and we are right in the thick of it. Mangalwar Peth is one of those old parts of the city where the lanes are narrow and the history is long. Our building is a typical Solapur structure, and we have been operating here for quite some time. We focus on making dresses and garments. It’s often very hot here, so the fans are always on full blast. The street outside can be quite noisy with scooters and people passing by all the time. We have a lot of stock piled up in the back rooms because we are always busy with something. It’s a bit messy with all the fabric rolls and plastic bags, but we know where everything is. We don't really use a lot of fancy English or have a polished website, we just talk to our customers and get the orders out. The team is like a small family and we eat our lunch together in the small break area. It is a very practical, hardworking environment. We don't have any mission statements on the walls, just a calendar and maybe a picture or two. It’s just us doing what we know how to do in our little corner of Solapur. The monsoons bring a bit of relief from the heat every year.
