Raut Hospital

If you go down to No. 157/1 Railway Lines, you’ll find Raut Hospital right by the Old Employment Chowk. It’s a well-known corner in this part of town. The hospital has been standing here for quite some time, and the building shows its age a bit, but it’s sturdy. Being near the railway lines means we get a mix of people from all over. The chowk is always busy with traffic, so there’s a constant hum of engines outside. Inside, we try to keep things a bit more orderly. We have different wards and a small emergency area that stays ready. The nurses and ward boys are local folks who have been with us through many shifts. We don't have a corporate office or a marketing team. Everything is run right here on the ground floor and the levels above. Sometimes the stretchers make a bit of noise on the old floors, but we’re used to it. Families often wait out in the hallways, talking in hushed tones while they wait for news. We just focus on the daily tasks, checking temperatures, giving out medicine, and making sure the doctors see everyone on the list. It’s hard work, and the days can be long, especially when the weather is hot in the summer months. But we’ve been part of the Railway Lines neighborhood for so long that it just feels like home to us. We’re just here doing our bit.
