Purnabramha Food Products

Our unit is situated at C-188 in the MIDC area of Chincholikati, near Mohol in Solapur. This is where we make our various food products, and the smell of spices and roasted grains is usually pretty strong around the building. It is a busy place, especially in the early mornings when we start the production cycles. We have some machines for grinding and mixing, and then we do a lot of the packaging by hand. It’s a long way from the main city, so it is mostly quiet out here except for the noise from our own factory. We are just a small team of local people from the nearby villages who come in to work every day. We don't use a lot of fancy chemicals or preservatives; we just try to make things the way they would be made at home, just on a larger scale. The weather in Solapur can be very dry and dusty, so we have to be extra careful about keeping everything clean inside. We aren't some massive corporation with a huge advertising budget. We just make the food, pack it into bags, and send it off to the markets. It’s hard work standing on your feet all day, but we take a bit of pride in seeing our packets on the shop shelves later on. That’s our daily life here.
