Project Engg

Project Engg is located at 105/149 Umanagri, right in front of the Sharadchandra Prashala school in Solapur. Because we are across from the school, we hear the bells ringing and the kids playing during their breaks, which tells us exactly what time of day it is without even looking at a clock. The office is a straightforward engineering space where we have big tables for looking at drawings and a couple of computers for the more technical parts of the job. It’s a bit dusty because of the road outside, but we try to keep it tidy enough to work. The walls have some old calendars and a few technical charts pinned up, nothing fancy or decorative. Solapur can get quite hot, so we usually have the windows shut and the fans going full blast for most of the year. We don't really have a front desk or any formal greeting area, people just walk in and find us at our workstations. We handle the engineering tasks as they come in, often spending hours just checking measurements or going over tiny details. It’s a busy life but we like the routine of it. We take our tea breaks when the school next door goes quiet for classes. It’s a very local way of working, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the neighborhood over the years we've been here.
