Pratap Tea Co

Our shop is in Baramati, located at 6/148 near the Station Road. It’s a busy street because of the railway station being so close. We deal with tea leaves and we have been here for a long time. The shop always has a very strong smell of tea which we really like. We have large sacks of different grades of tea stacked up against the walls. We spend our days weighing the tea for customers who come in. We have an old metal scale that we trust more than the new ones. The floor is just plain cement and we have some wooden benches. We don't do any big promotions or anything. People in Baramati know where we are. In the mornings, we get our new stock and we have to move the heavy bags inside. It’s a lot of lifting. We have a small stove where we make tea for ourselves and any friends who stop by to chat. The traffic on Station Road can be quite loud with all the rickshaws and people rushing for their trains. We just stay in our shop and keep the business going. Sometimes when it rains, the water comes near the door and we have to move the bags higher. It’s a simple local shop and we like the way things are. We know most of the people who walk past every day.
