At Pande Const., we operate out of B20 in Ganga Nagar, which is right near Damani Nagar in Solapur. Our office is more like a staging ground for all the building work we do around the area. You will almost always see some motorbikes parked in a heap outside and maybe a delivery truck trying to squeeze through the street. Solapur is a dusty place, and no matter how much we clean, the office always has a thin layer of it on the desks. We spend our mornings going over the work schedules and making sure the guys at the sites have enough bricks and sand for the day. It takes a lot of coordination to keep things on track. Sometimes we are out on a site until it gets dark, and other days we are stuck inside doing the books or talking to the bank. The neighborhood here is mostly residential, so it is quiet enough except for the usual sounds of the street. We don’t have any big, shiny signs, just the work we’ve done to show for it. Most of our projects come from people recommending us to their friends, so we don't worry about looking corporate. There is usually a smell of wet cement or dust on our clothes by the end of the shift. It is just honest, hard work every day. We’ve been in this corner of Solapur for a long time now and we just keep at it.
