Padmalaya Dye Chemical Corporation

Our place, Padmalaya Dye Chemical Corporation, is located at Plot No. 1404 in the Modi Khana area. We are quite close to Saat Rasta Ckowk, which is a really busy intersection. You can hear the traffic and the horns all day long from here. We deal with various dyes and chemicals in big drums and sacks. It’s an industrial kind of environment. The floors have stains from different colors we’ve handled over the months. It’s not the kind of place where you’d want to wear nice clothes. We spend a lot of time weighing out powders and making sure the labels are correct. The plot is a decent size, but it feels cramped once we get a big shipment in. We don’t have any fancy displays. It’s just rows of chemicals and some old wooden desks where we keep the records. Sometimes the smell of the chemicals is quite strong, so we keep the windows and doors open as much as possible. It gets hot in the afternoons, and the ceiling fans don’t do much. People come by from the textile shops or small factories nearby to pick up what they need. We’ve been in Modi Khana for a while, so most of the local traders know where to find us. It’s just a regular warehouse-style operation. We work hard, get dirty, and go home. That’s pretty much the daily routine for us here. We keep the ledger updated by hand and manage the stock as it comes.
