Om Book Depot

Om Book Depot has been at Plot No-160 in South Sadar Bazar for quite some years now. We are right by Saat Rasta, very close to Huma Medical. It’s a busy part of town, so there’s always something going on outside our door. The shop itself is filled with books from floor to ceiling. Sometimes I think we have too many, but then someone comes in looking for an old edition and we actually have it. It’s a lot of work keeping track of the inventory. We don't use any high-tech systems, just some notebooks and our own memory. The air in here smells like old paper, which I’ve grown to like. We get students from all over coming in for their course materials. It can get pretty cramped when five or six people are in at once. We usually just tell them to wait a minute while we find what they need. The area around Saat Rasta is always moving, but we try to keep a steady pace. It’s just a family-run place, nothing corporate about it. We open early and stay late most days. Sometimes the lights flicker, but we haven't got around to fixing that yet. If you are near the medical store, just look for the pile of books near the window. That’s us. We aren't hard to find if you know the bazar.
