Nagzari Social Welfare Foundation

Our foundation, Nagzari Social Welfare Foundation, is located at house number 132 in Mirzanpur. This is in the Barshi area of Solapur, which is a fairly quiet part of Maharashtra. We’ve been working from this spot for a while now, focusing on whatever social issues pop up in our local community. The office is really just a part of a building where we can keep our files and have meetings. It’s not fancy, and we don't have any big corporate signs out front. Mostly, it’s just us and a few volunteers from Barshi who come by when they have spare time. We deal with a lot of everyday problems that people in Solapur face, like getting access to basic services or help with local government forms. It’s practical stuff that needs to be done. The weather here can get quite hot, so we usually try to get our outdoor work done early in the morning. We don't have a big budget, so we fix things ourselves when they break. It’s a humble way to run things, but it works for us and the people we help. Living and working in the 413406 area means we know our neighbors and they know us. We don't use any fancy language to describe what we do. We just work on social welfare because it’s needed here and there isn't anyone else doing it right now.
