Khalkar Hospital

Khalkar Hospital is right here in Sattha Colony. We're on Station Road, which is always busy in Ahmednagar. The building has been here for years. It's a hospital, so we see a lot of different cases every day. Some people come in for small things, others are more serious. We have the usual wards and some beds. The staff is mostly local people who've been with us for a long time. It can get pretty chaotic when the trains are coming in because we're so close to the station. You can hear the whistles sometimes. We don't have a big PR team or anything like that. We just open the doors in the morning and see who needs help. The hallway could use a fresh coat of paint, maybe, but the equipment works and that's what matters. We deal with emergencies and routine visits. It's a lot of standing on your feet and talking to families. Ahmednagar is a place where everyone knows everyone, so we see a lot of familiar faces. We just try to keep things moving and make sure patients are looked after. It's not a luxury hotel, it's just a hospital where we do our daily work. Station Road is never quiet, so there's always something going on outside our front door. We've got our routines down after all this time. People know us for being practical and getting things done without too much fuss. It's a tough job sometimes but it keeps us busy and connected.
