Kenido Weaving Private Limited

Our weaving unit is over at 155/3B/4B in Gandhi Nagar, right along the Akkalkot Road in Solapur. If you know this part of Maharashtra, you know it's a big area for textiles. We’ve been set up in this spot for some time. The building is a basic industrial space, nothing too special to look at from the outside. Inside, it’s a different story with the looms running and the constant noise of the machinery. It can get quite loud, so we usually have to shout to hear each other. We spend our days checking the threads and making sure the patterns are coming out right. Akkalkot Road is always busy with traffic, so there is a lot of dust and noise from the street too. We have a small crew of people from the local area who know how to handle the equipment. It’s not an easy job, especially when it gets really hot in the afternoons, but we just keep at it. We don’t have any fancy reception area or corporate slogans on the walls. It’s just a place where work gets done. Most of the day is spent handling the fabric and talking to the guys who transport the goods. We are just a local Solapur business trying to keep the looms moving. Sometimes things break down and we have to spend the whole day fixing a machine, but that is just part of the life of a weaver. It is hard work, but we just get on with it.
