Jadhav Kirana

Jadhav Kirana is our small family shop in Ukkalgaon Village. We are in the Shrirampur Taluka part of Ahmednagar District. If you are looking for us, we are right near the Navsha Hanuman Mandir. Everyone in the village knows where that is. We sell basic groceries and things for the house. It is a quiet life here most of the time compared to the big cities. We see the same people every day. Farmers come in after working in the fields to pick up tea or sugar. During the festivals, the area near the Mandir gets really crowded and we stay very busy then. My family helps out with the lifting and the cleaning. It’s not a big fancy store with bright lights. It’s just a place with bags of grain and jars of sweets on the counter. We keep an eye on the weather because it affects how many people come out. If it rains hard, the road gets a bit muddy and things slow down. We like being part of Ukkalgaon. It’s where we belong. I try to keep the books straight but sometimes I get behind on the paperwork. It doesn't matter much as long as the customers are happy with what they buy. We have been sitting in this same spot for years and don't plan on going anywhere else soon. It's a simple life here in Ahmednagar and we just do our best every day.
