Hotel Yatiraj

Hotel Yatiraj is over here in Solapur, right at Saat Rasta Modi on the Station Road. We’ve been around this part of town for a good while now. Most days start pretty early because of the trains. You can hear the morning commute starting up and the tea stalls opening their shutters nearby. It’s a busy spot, honestly. The station is just a short walk away, so we get people coming in at all hours, usually looking tired after a long journey. We just try to keep things simple here. My family and a few helpers handle the daily work, from cleaning the rooms to making sure the water is running right. Solapur gets quite hot in the summers, so we spend a lot of time making sure the fans are working and the place stays as cool as it can. It’s not a fancy setup, just a regular building where people can stay when they are passing through for work or seeing relatives. We see a lot of the same faces every month, mostly people traveling for business. The neighborhood has changed over the years, more shops have opened up and the traffic has definitely picked up. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy outside with the rickshaws and the buses going towards the station, but that is just how it is living on a main road. We don’t have much to brag about, just a place to sleep and keep your bags while you do what you need to do in the city.
