Our place is located right across from the ITI College in Chikhali. If you know that area in Pune, you know it stays quite active with students and commuters always moving around. At Haffkine Biopharmaceutical Corporation Ltd Pune, we have a lot of daily routines that keep us busy from morning until evening. It's a bio-pharma setup, so things have to be handled a certain way, which keeps everyone on their toes. The building isn't anything extraordinary, but it serves our needs. We’ve got different sections for different tasks. Sometimes the noise from the road gets inside, but we’re used to it by now. The staff here mostly sticks to their departments. We talk about the weather or the local traffic during lunch breaks. Chikhali is an okay spot for us because it’s accessible. Working in this field means following a lot of steps and staying focused on the science and the production side of things. It’s not always exciting, but it’s important work for the region. We have our meetings in a small room that gets a bit stuffy in the summer. Usually, someone brings in snacks to share. We don't really do the corporate polish thing here. We are just a group of people working in a lab and office setting, making sure the biopharmaceutical products are moving through the system as they should. It’s a lot of practical, hands-on management every single day. We don’t have a marketing team or anything like that. It's just the supervisors and the technicians doing what they know best. Sometimes we stay late when there's a big batch to finish, and we'll order some food from the place down the street. It's not a glamorous life, but it's ours. We’ve been in Chikhali long enough to see the buildings around us change, but our routine stays mostly the same. We just keep our heads down and focus on the biopharmaceutical work. It’s about being consistent more than anything else. We hope the traffic near the ITI college gets better one day, but we aren't holding our breath.
