If you take the train down to Hotgi Station in Solapur district, you'll find us out here near the village. It's a dusty area, mostly because of all the cement work happening around. We are part of the Grasim Ind.Ltd team, specifically working around the Birla Super Cement site. It isn't a city life kind of place. The roads are a bit bumpy, and you see a lot of trucks coming and going all day long. Being set up here for quite some time now has made us part of the landscape. The sun gets really strong in this part of Maharashtra, so the afternoons are usually pretty slow and quiet inside the office. No fancy carpets or air conditioning that works perfectly all the time are found here. A practical space where we manage the local operations is what it is. Most of the people working here are from nearby villages or have moved to Solapur for work. Eating lunch together and talking about the local news or how the crops are doing if it’s been raining is our habit. Life moves at a different pace out here compared to Mumbai or Pune. Our focus remains on daily logs and making sure the supplies are coming in right. It’s hard work, and the clothes usually end up with a bit of white dust on them by five o'clock. That’s just how it is when you work near a cement station like Hotgi. It is what it is, and we are fine with it.
