Gopal Goseva Foundation

Gopal Goseva Foundation operates out of Murarji Peth, right near the Abhiyanta Bhawan area. People around this part of town know we mostly focus on the animals, especially the cows that don't have anyone else looking after them. It started because there were just too many cows wandering the streets with nowhere to sleep or eat properly. We keep things very simple at 1/B/1C/10. It’s definitely not a fancy operation with a lot of money or staff in uniforms. We spend most of our mornings making sure the sheds are clean and the animals have enough water and feed for the day. Some of us have been doing this for years, while others just stop by when they have a spare hour from their own jobs. It gets pretty dusty and loud sometimes, but that’s just the way it is when you’re working with livestock. We don’t spend much time on computers or writing long reports. Most of our work is hands-on, right here in the local neighborhood. Neighbors often drop off extra greens from their kitchens or ask if we can help with a sick calf they found near the road. We try to say yes as much as we can, even when we are tired or short on supplies. It’s hard work and your clothes always end up smelling like the barn, but someone has to do it. We’re just local folks who care about the cows in this part of town.
