Equitel India Nidhi Limited

Our office is in the village of Bhatambare, which is part of Barshi in Solapur. We work out of House Number 340. It is the home of Indubai Namdev Devkar, so it is a very personal and local setup. We don't have a separate commercial building. We just use a part of the house to run the Nidhi company. It makes sense for us because we are serving our own neighbors and the people from the nearby fields. In a small place like Bhatambare, everyone is familiar with each other. People just walk into the house when they need to talk about their savings or a small loan. We have a safe for the money and some cupboards for the record books. We spend our time writing in ledgers and talking to folks who stop by. It’s a very slow and steady kind of work. We aren't looking to grow into a massive corporation. We just want to provide a place for people in our village to manage their money. The pace of life here is tied to the seasons and the crops. We understand that because we live it too. There are no fancy suits or ties here. We just sit together and get the paperwork done. It’s an honest, simple way to run a business in the heart of Solapur. We usually close up when it gets dark.
