Dr. M K Mote Foundation

We operate the Dr. M K Mote Foundation out of Krishna Hospital. It’s located on the Main Road in the village of Phondshiras, which is in Malshiras. Being based in a hospital means there is always a lot going on around us. People are coming and going at all hours, so it never really gets quiet. We have a small corner where we handle the foundation's business. It’s mostly paperwork and talking to the people who come in for help. Since we are right on the main road, it’s easy for folks from the nearby villages to find us. We don't have a fancy office setup with air conditioning and plush chairs. It’s just a practical space where we can work alongside the medical staff. The building is older but it serves its purpose well. We are just local people who have been here a long time. We know the families in Phondshiras and we understand the struggles people face around here. We don't use big words or act like we are better than anyone else. We just do the work that needs to be done. Sometimes the days are very long, especially when the hospital is crowded. But we just take a break, have some water, and get back to it. It’s a simple life but it keeps us busy and connected to our community in a real way.
