Devika Welfare Foundation

Our foundation, Devika Welfare Foundation, is located at Minakshi Niwas, which is house R 1 33 in Hatte Nagar. This is right in the Latur area, specifically in the Latur district of Maharashtra. The office is basically part of a local neighborhood, which makes it feel very grounded. We aren't tucked away in a high-rise building. Instead, we are right here where people live. Most of the staff members are from around Latur, so we know the streets and the people pretty well. Working from Hatte Nagar means we see our neighbors every day when we walk into the office. It’s a modest space, with just enough room for our desks and a few chairs for visitors. We spend our days going through paperwork and talking to people who come by. There isn't any fancy decor or expensive furniture here. We prefer it that way because it keeps things simple and honest. Sometimes we have to deal with the heat during the summer months, which can be tough, but we manage. The daily routine is quite predictable, starting early and finishing up when the work is done. We don't spend money on big ads or marketing. We just focus on what needs doing right here in our small corner of Latur. It’s a quiet existence, but it keeps us busy enough throughout the week. We keep a few fans running to stay cool while we sort through the daily mail and files.
