Our place is right in the middle of Siddheshwar Market Yard. If you’ve been to the Hyderabad Road side of Solapur, you know how hectic it gets around here. It's Indira Nagar area. We've got the shop set up where all the trucks and loaders come through. Daresh Patil and the rest of the guys are usually here by 8 AM. The market has its own rhythm, very loud and always moving. We don't have air conditioning or fancy carpets. It’s mostly concrete floors and wooden desks that have seen better days. But it works for what we do. There's always dust from the road and the sound of people shouting prices. We handle our business right there in the thick of it. Sometimes we sit on the plastic chairs outside to catch a breeze. We know all the other vendors around here. It’s a community. If you’re looking for us, look for the sign near the main gate of the yard. We don't spend money on fancy brochures. People just know where we are. Dealing with the heat in Solapur is part of the job. We drink a lot of water and keep the fans running. It’s an honest way to spend the day. We’ve been at this spot for years, and we don’t plan on moving anywhere else anytime soon.
