Bhumitantra Agribusiness Private Limited is basically run out of Sanbur. We are located at Balu Jadhav’s place. If you know the area in Paltan, it’s not too hard to find us. We spend a lot of time out in the fields or sitting around the porch talking about the business side of farming. It’s a lot of trial and error around here. Sometimes we try one thing and it works, other times it doesn't and we have to start over. It’s not like a big city company with suits and meetings every hour. We mostly wear our work clothes and talk while we walk. The agribusiness thing is new to some of us but we are getting the hang of it slowly. People stop by to ask about seeds or how the market is looking this week. We try to keep track of everything in our books, though sometimes things get a little behind when harvest time hits. Sanbur is a quiet enough place but we stay busy. Being in Paltan gives us a good spot to reach out to other farmers nearby. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or slogans. We just want to see the farms doing better so everyone can get by. It’s a simple setup and we like it that way. Just people from the village trying to do something useful together.
