Basaveshwar Hospital

Basaveshwar Hospital is right at Rajendra Chowk in the Raviwar Peth area of Solapur. If you know the chowk, you know exactly where we are. It’s a very busy part of town with lots of shops and people moving around all the time. You can hear the horns honking and the shouting from the market right from our front office. The building is an older one, so it has a bit of character, though the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint one of these days. We have people coming in all through the day, especially on market days when the area is packed with shoppers. The reception area is pretty small, so it feels crowded even when there are only a few people waiting. We use a lot of paper ledgers and notebooks to keep track of everything. The doctors are usually in their rooms by early morning, and there’s always a bit of a rush before lunch. Most of our staff have been here for a long time, so we have a routine that we stick to. We aren't doing anything fancy; we just handle the bumps and bruises and whatever else people bring in. It’s a practical place for the local folks to come. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing, day in and day out, in the middle of all the Solapur noise. The fans on the ceiling hum all day and we just get on with our jobs.
