Ashok Textiles

We are located at 35 Mahaveer Market on Phaltan Galli. It is a busy spot, and our shop is usually packed with different types of fabrics. Ashok Textiles has been around for a long time, and we have seen the local market change quite a bit over the years. We mostly sell cloth by the meter or in bulk to local tailors and families. The shelves are piled high with cottons, silks, and synthetics, and sometimes it is hard to even see the walls. We do not have any fancy displays or bright lights. It is just a traditional textile shop where people come to feel the fabric before they buy it. Sometimes the dust from all the cloth makes us sneeze, but that is just part of the job. We do not have a big marketing plan. People usually find us through word of mouth or by just walking through Phaltan Galli. My father started this business, and we have just kept it going the same way. We spend our days measuring out lengths of fabric and folding them back up as neatly as we can when it is busy. It can get quite loud with all the bargaining and the noise from the street outside. We just focus on giving people what they are looking for and making sure the ledger is kept up to date. It is simple work, but it keeps us busy from morning until night.
