Amol Cold Drink

Our shop, Amol Cold Drink, is situated in Khairewadi Village. We are in the Madha Taluka part of Solapur District, quite close to the local police station. It is a quiet enough spot most days, though things pick up when there is a market or something happening in the village. We have been here for a while now, serving drinks to the local farmers and people passing through on their way to the bigger towns nearby. The space is small, just enough for a few coolers and some crates stacked in the corner. We don't have any big signs or bright lights to attract attention. Most people just know we are here because we have been in the same spot for years. The police officers from next door often come by for a quick soda when they are on their break. I usually run the place myself, sometimes my brother helps when he is not busy working out in the fields. We make sure the drinks are kept cold, which is the main thing people care about in this heat. Solapur gets very dry and dusty, so a cold bottle of something fizzy is always welcome. We don't do anything complicated here. We just open up early in the morning, sweep the front, and wait for the first customers to arrive. It is a steady life and we know almost everyone who walks through the door by their first name. That is just how things go here for us.
