Solan Homoeopathic Medical College Hospital

Up here in Kumarhatti, the Solan Homoeopathic Medical College Hospital is quite a large presence. Since we are both a college and a hospital, there is a constant mix of students and patients moving through the halls. It’s a big, sturdy building that looks out over the local terrain. The atmosphere is a bit different from a standard hospital because of all the young people learning the trade. You will see them in their white coats, often huddled in groups or following a senior around with their notebooks. The hospital side stays busy with folks coming in from all the nearby villages and towns. Homoeopathy is what we do here, and we have been doing it in Kumarhatti for a long time. The waiting areas are large to accommodate the crowds. We have rows of wooden benches and a lot of notice boards with various schedules and announcements. It can be a bit noisy during the day with all the chatter, but it quiets down in the evenings. We don't have a PR department or a fancy lobby with plush chairs. It’s all very functional and academic. The staff has to balance teaching with patient care, which keeps everyone on their toes. The mountain air is a nice bonus for everyone here. We don't do any self-promotion; the college has its own reputation that brings people in. It is just a place of learning and healing tucked away in the hills.
