Shiva Tea

Shiva Tea is based out in Village Lanabaka, which is under the Po Dinger Kinner area in Tehsil Pachhad. It is a very different kind of place than the busy city shops. Up here, things move a lot slower. We are surrounded by hills and a lot of greenery. Our workplace is a simple building that fits in with the rest of the village. We deal with tea in a very direct way, often working with what is available in the region. There aren't any big malls or complexes nearby, just the local houses and the winding roads of Pachhad. Sometimes the weather makes it hard to get transport in and out, especially when the rains are heavy or it gets very cold. We spend a lot of time just managing the day-to-day tasks of keeping the tea fresh and ready. There isn't a lot of noise here, mostly just the sounds of the birds and the wind. We don't have a website or any big posters. Most people who know us are from the surrounding villages or people who have been coming to this part of the hills for years. It’s an honest way to make a living, even if it is a bit isolated from the big towns. We just do our work and live our lives in the village. Sometimes we walk down to the post office to check on mail, and that is about as busy as it gets.
