Sharma Clinic

Matiana is a quiet place most of the time, but being right on NH 22 means there is always a bit of traffic passing by. Sharma Clinic has been sitting here for quite some time now. We see a lot of people who are just passing through the area, maybe stopping because they felt a bit unwell on their journey. Of course, the locals from Matiana are our regulars. You get used to the sound of the trucks and cars zooming by outside on the highway. Sometimes the dust from the road gets in, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the counters and chairs. It’s a simple setup. We have a few rooms, some basic furniture that’s seen better days, and a front desk where someone is usually sitting with a ledger. We don't use many fancy computers here. It’s mostly paper and pens. When it rains, the sound on the roof is quite loud, and things slow down a bit. We keep some tea going in the back for the staff when it gets cold, which happens a lot up here. People walk in with all sorts of small problems, and we do what we can. It’s a steady kind of life, watching the traffic on NH 22 and helping the folks who live in this part of Matiana. We don't have much to brag about, just a reliable door that stays open for the neighbors.
