Shakun Infrastructure Development Ltd. (Sun City)

We are based up in Solan, on Old Power House Road. If you know the area, you probably know the Sun City project we've been working on. It’s a bit of a climb getting up here sometimes, especially when the weather is rainy and the roads get slick. Shakun Infrastructure Development Ltd. is just a group of us trying to get buildings up and running. Our office is pretty basic, right near the road. We have blueprints rolled up in every corner and a lot of mud on the floor from the boots coming in from the sites. Solan is a nice place, but the hills make building things a bit tricky compared to the plains. We spend a lot of time out at the construction spots, checking the concrete and the frames. It’s not a clean job. We are usually covered in dust by the end of the day. We don’t have a fancy reception desk or a person to answer the phones in a professional voice. Usually, whoever is closest to the phone just picks it up. We’ve been working on this Sun City development for a while, and it takes up most of our energy. The local tea shop is where we meet the contractors to talk about the day's work. It’s honest work, and it’s what we know how to do. We don't make big promises; we just try to get the walls straight and the roofs tight.
